Lake Odessa Wave - Times - June 2, 1937
          MAUDE BEVER-WELLS DIES WED. MORNING
   After several years of poor heath and several months of illness Maude Bever-Wells
passed away at the Ionia 
hospital, Wednesday morning.  A letter written for her by a friend to her
step-mother Mrs. Alberta Goodemoot 
on Friday stated that she was better and told of things she would like sent to her. 
These things Mrs. 
Goodemoot sent but was very much surprised when the message came the next day that
Maude had passed 
away.
  Maude, the second daughter of Russell and Dora Goodemoot was born April 4, 1900,
in Sebewa.  With per 
parents she moved to Odessa township where after completing the eighth grade she
entered Lake Odessa 
school, graduating with the class of 1920.
   In July of the same year she married Clinford Bever. To this union one child,
Kendall, was born.
   In December 1924 she married Glenn Wells of Detroit, where for some time she made
her home.  Going 
from there to Indiana, then back to Michigan.  She has spent more than five years
since her marriages in Lake 
Odessa thus claiming it her home.
   She was a member of the Methodist church here, was kindly dispositioned and had
many friends.
   She leaves a husband Glenn Wells of Detroit, and three children, Kendall of
Lansing, Wanda, 12, and Roger 
8, of Detroit:  four brothers, Donald of Odessa, Kenneth of Pittsburg, Pa, Russell
of Los Angeles, Cal., and 
Dale of Munising, and two sisters, Mrs. Floyd Erdman of Danby and Mrs. Mary Jusino
of Ferndale.
   The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church with
burial at Lakeside.
