Bevins died at the home of her brother, Frank Luscombe, where she was residing, in Otisco, Friday, November 10, aged seventy-seven years, six months and thirteen days. She was taken sick the Saturday before and pneumonia developed which quickly carried her away. Mrs. Bevins was formerly Miss Mary Luscombe, and was the sister of Frank, Stillman and John Luscombe. She was married to Alonzo Bevins, who died at Woodard Lake about twenty-five years ago. Besides her brothers she leaves one sister – Margaret Ferris of Long Beach, California. Charles Hall of Greenville an adopted son, also survives her. The funeral service was held at her late home Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock Rev. A.J. Blair officiating, and her remains were buried in the Otisco cemetery. Friends from Greenville and Stanton were present.
