Hastings Reminder - Saturday March 2, 2024

EUGENE RAYMOND BEYER

Eugene Raymond Beyer, age 91, of Hastings, MI passed away on Saturday 17, 2024.

Gene was born on October 24, 1932 to Adolph and Vivian Beyer in Owosso, MI Gene 
proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War.

Over the years Gene held many positions as an executive secretary, retiring from 
the State of Michigan Department of Transportation. In 1954 he married Donna 
Weissenbuehler spending 69 years of marriage together. Together they spent many 
winters in Yuma, AZ.

Gene will be missed by his wife, Donna; Sheryl (Jerry) Welsh, Kenneth 
(Elizabeth) Beyer, James (Julie)Beyer and dean (Lori) Beyer; eight grand-
children, 16 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death wee his parents and sister, Loretta Webster.

Visitations for Eugene will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 
to 8 p.m.  at Koops Funeral Chapel, 935 4th Ave., Lake Odessa,MI 48849. A 
funeral service will occur Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran 
Church, 6261 Vekte Rd., woodland,MI 48897.
