Oct. 12, 1964 Julia C. Biehler Dies Here A well known Central Michigan legal and public stenographer, Julia C. Biehler, 76, died Monday morning at Ionia County Memorial hospital. She had enjoyed good health since her retirement several years ago and had been ill only a short time. For nearly fifty years she was employed by several attorneys in the Ionia area, prosecuting attorneys and on several occasions filled in as the official court reporter. She was born at 947 West Main street June 4, 1888 the daughter of George and Minnie Slowinski Biehler and lived in the same house her entire life. Following attendance at SS Peter and Paul academy she was employed by the several law firms of Scully and Davis, Gemuend and Barnes, Foss O Eldred and Ney Eldred. She also was employed at Ionia county courthouse by George Nichols, Frank Miller and Geer H. Smith while they were prosecuting attorneys. Surviving are one brother, George, and a sister Elizabeth Biehler, with whom she lived many years, and a niece, Mrs. Ruth H. VandeKerkhoff of Grand Rapids. Rosary will be recited at Myers funeral home Tuesday night at 8 p.m. and Requiem high mass sung at SS Peter and Paul Catholic church, Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock. Interment will be at Mt.
