Ionia Sentinel Standard, 24 & 27 Apr 1955

Word was received in Ionia Tuesday of the death of Frank Biehler, 81, at
Godfrey, Ill.  He was born in Ionia, February 18, 1884 the son of Mr. and Mrs.
George Biehler.  After attending the SS. Peter and Paul Academy he was employed
as a mechanic for many years by the Ross Benedict and Coe garages in Ionia.  In
1948 he went to Godfrey, Ill. where he had charge of the mechanical department
at Oblate Fathers, a Catholic boys’ school.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Steven Vande Kerkhoff of Grand Rapids; two
grandchildren, Mrs. John Kerkhoff and Brother Jack Pierce, O.M.I of Oblate
Fathers, Belleville, Ill.; one brother, George and two sisters, Julia and
Elizabeth Biehler of Ionia.

He will be brought to the Myers funeral home in Ionia.

Frank Biehler, 71, of Godfrey, Ill. died unexpectedly Tuesday and the body is at
the Myers funeral home.  Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 9 o’clock
at the SS Peter and Paul church.  Rosary will be Friday evening at 8 o’clock at
the Myers funeral home.  Interment will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery.
