She had been ill since July,1938. Mrs. Bielow resided in Ionia for 57 years, coming here in 1892 from Germany. She was born at Kagendori, Germany, January 1, 1869. Her husband, Carl Bielow, preceded her in death in 1909. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Meisling and Johanna Bielow, of Ionia, two sons, Harold of Reed City and Otto of Grand Rapids, five grandchildren, Maxine and Charles Bielow, Jean and Betty Meisling, of Ionia, Corliss Bielow of Grand Rapids and one great-grandchild, a sister, Mrs. William Speckin of Ionia. The remains may be viewed at the home until the funeral services Sunday, August 20. The casket will not be open at the church. Funeral services will be held from the residence at 2:30 p.m. and from the St. John's Evangelical church at 3 p.m. with Rev. R. A. Rook, pastor of the church, officiating. Mrs. Bielow was a member of that church since she came to Ionia. Burial will be in the family lot in Highland Park cemetery.
