She was the second wife of Miles R. Bigler who is now eighty-seven years old, the aged couple having lived happily together for many years and her death is a sad blow to the husband in his declining years. They lived for some time in the Howe addition but later moved to the home which he purchased last summer. The deceased was an excellent woman. She leaves besides her husband a son, Delbert Campbell and daughter, Mrs. Chas. A. Drake. The funeral was held Wednesday at the late home with burial in River Ridge cemetery. Mr. Bigler, who did everything possible for her during her sickness, is receiving the sympathy of many friends. A purse of about $70 was given him in his hour of need, by John W. Cartridge who circulated a paper for his benefit, among the factory employees and business men. When Mr. Cartridge presented the amount to him Mr. Bigler feelingly expressed his thanks for the kindness and thoughtfulness shown him at a time when it was sorely needed. Old neighbors and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Bigler made up a purse and also purchased a beautiful bouquet of flowers which Mr. Cartridge carried to the home and presented it to Mr. Bigler for the funeral and burial service.
