Ionia Sentinel – 11 August 1986
Wayner C. Bigler, 54, of 4017 Wheeler Road, Belding, died Sunday August 10 at 
Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.  He was born in Orleans Township on 
December 11, 1931, the son of Simon and Ruth (Wooldridge) Bigler.  He was a 
veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War.  He was the foreman at 
Velco Industries, Inc. of Belding, where he had been employed for 24 years.  
He was married to Barbara (Dines) Bigler on December 29, 1956 in Belding.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Terri l. Bigler of Lowell, and 
Brenda J. Bigler of Belding; two grandchildren; one brother, Bruce Bigler of 
Orleans; and one sister, Mrs. Harry (Frances) Decker of Bitely.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 1 pm at the Green’s Corners Baptist Church 
in Belding, with the Rev. Gene Sickler and the Rev. Wayne K. Anderson 
officiating.  Burial will follow in Orleans Cemetery.  Memorials may be made 
to the Cancer Research Center at the University of Michigan Medical School.  
Visitations begin at 7 pm Monday at the Courser and Johnson Funeral Home in 
Belding.
