B. Bigley, who died at his home in Eureka Saturday, aged 20 years, was held in the Eureka church Monday, there being a very large attendance, Rev. Wm. Judd, of Lyons, preaching the funeral sermon. The following obituary was read: Fred B. Bigley was born at this place July 12th, 1873, and died June 10th, 1893. He was for a time engaged in business in Belding, but sold out to take charge of the old home and comfort his parents in their declining years. He was engaged to be married to Miss Cora E. Green at some future time, each being the other’s first and only choice. He made a profession of religion five years ago under the pastorate of Rev. Wm. Judd and has lived the life he then professed. He expressed a desire to stay with friends, but said he had no fears of death. He disposed of his business in a business-like-way and then quietly waited the end. Thus ended a quiet, honest life, leaving a vacant place that can never be filled. [Transcriber's Note: There is a notation on the obituary card that he is buried in Otisco Cemetery.] File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/obits/b/bigley2610nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/mifiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
