Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Fales-Huffman Funeral Chapel in Belding with burial in Smyrna Cemetery. Mrs. Bignell was the widow of George Olin Bignell. She was a practical nurse while the couple resided in Belding for many years. She left Belding in the fall of 1933 after his death. She had been in poor health the past six months and in April was taken from the home of a daughter, Rosina, in Florida to the Pellett home at McBride. A native of Smyrna, Mrs. Bignell was born June 18, 1861, as Eva Jane Dicken. She was married Nov. 11, 1877. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Mary Pellett of McBride, Mrs. Nettie Van Houten of Detroit, Mrs. Ella Skellenger of McBride, Miss Rosina Bignell of Anna Maria, Fla., and Mrs. Maude Robertson of Farmington; one son, Andrew of San Simon, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Royal Band Aid Society at McBride and a former member of the Gleaners.
