F. Ellis Bignell, 63, died at his home Tuesday, February 16, at 1 a.m. of a 
heart attack.

He was born in Ronald township in Ionia county. He was a resident to Palo 
and vicinity all his life. He was owner and operator of the Galloway stores, 
general store and hardware and associated with business life in Palo for 
over 30 years. He was a member of the Methodist church also church 
treasurer, clerk of Ronald township, member of Palo lodge F&AM and secretary 
of Palo Cemetery Association. 

In 1933 he was married to Flossie Nichols who survives him. One son, Wilber, 
at home and one brother, Claude Bignell, or Palo also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 pm at the Methodist Episcopal 
church in Palo. Interment will be in Palo cemetery. Mr. Bignell reposes at 
the Stebbins funeral home in Sheridan.
