Claude Bigsby, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2004.  He was born 
on January 26, 1934 in Ionia, the son of Claude Elmer and Edith Pauline 
(Dreger) Bigsby.

Mr. Bigsby loved to fish and was a great enthusiast of archery, receiving many 
marksmanship awards.  He always had a smile on his face.  Claude was a veteran, 
serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He was preceded in death by 
his parents; wife, Christine in 1987; brother, Donald; sister, Dorothy.  
Surviving are his step-daughters, Rachel Richardson of Florida and Carolyn 
Arnette of Belding; six step grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren; 
brother, Jack Bigsby of Arlington, TX; sister, Alma (Donald) Barr of Muir; five 
nieces and three nephews; many great nieces, nephews and friends; special 
friends Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stone.

A graveside service will be conducted by the Rev. David W. Bogda, Pastor of St. 
John Lutheran Church, Ionia at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Sunset Memorial 
Gardens, Ionia.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral 
Home, Ionia.
