The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, July 1, 1946
Claude A. Billings, 66, died Sunday afternoon at his home, 413 Baldie street.  
He was born April 17, 1880 at Morley.  

He was branch manager of the Home Furnace Company of Holland for eight years 
and superintendent of instruction at the Michigan Reformatory of Ionia for 
fourteen years.  He has lived in Ionia for 40 years.  In 1941 he went to 
California for his health returning in 1945.  He has been a member of the Odd 
Fellow lodge of Ionia for 36 years.

He is survived by his wife, Luella; two sons, Merle of Sheridan and Stuart of 
Long Beach, California; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held from the Myers funeral home Wednesday at 2 
o’clock with Dr. Paul Stewart officiating.  Interment will be at Oak Hill 
cemetery.
