He had been in poor health for some time but seemed to be feeling unusually well on Saturday and walked up to the post office after his mail and received a notice of the death of his brother, William, Minnesota. The notice seemed to cast a gloom over his spirits but he kept up until his usual late bedtime when he commenced to suffer great pain. Besides his widow, who is blind, there is one son, Melvin Bingham; and two sisters who live in Detroit, and his brother-in-law, Ellis Austin, who resides with the family. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Methodist church, Rev. W.D. Robinson officiating, and burial was in Palo cemetery.
