The Lake Odessa Wave, Thursday, September 2, 1943

Mrs. Ella M. Bippley, 63, died in the Ionia county memorial hospital late 
Sunday evening.  She was born in Sebewa, married to George Bippley of Odessa 
about 43 years ago.  He died about 16 years ago.  Three children were born to 
them the two daughters dying about 14 years ago.

The Bippley family moved to Ionia in 1922, then Mrs. Bippley returned to Lake 
Odessa following an auto accident from which she seemed never to have fully 
recovered.  She retained her membership in the Ionia Methodist church and the 
Ionia O.E.S.  

The funeral was held in Ionia, Wednesday, and interment was made in Lakeside 
cemetery in Odessa.

Surviving are a son John, and three grandchildren at Ionia, a brother William 
Pickens at Barryton, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Bennett in Orange.
