May 14, 1936 BIPPLEY FUNERAL LARGELY ATTENDED Sebewa Baptist Church Filled With Relatives and Friends, Rev.H T. Adamson Officiated. Burial at Lakeside. The funeral of Mrs. Edna Arnold Bippley was held at the Sebewa Baptist Church Saturday afternoon. The church was filled with relatives, neighbors and friends. rev. H.T. Adamson, a former pastor, gave the address and Miss Virginia Goodsell, accompanied by her sister Miss Helen Goodsell sang. The pall bearers were ivan Hall, Dan Austin, Laverne VanHouten, Gaylord Lapham, Frank Beckholt and Orvie Dillenbeck. The body was laid to rest in Lake side Cemetery. OBITUARY Edna Elizabeth Arnold was born in Sebewa township, September 1, 1857 and died May 7, 1936, aged 57 years, eight months, three days. She was united in marriage to Frank Bippley in 1897and to this union were born four children. Bertha, Fred, Dorothy, and Donal. Her early life was spent in Sebewa, Portland vicinity and Oceana county. When sixteen years of age she came back to this vicinity and has lived here ever since. She was a kind and loving mother, always doing everything she could to benefit or help her children and ever willing to bear any sorrow or burden if it would help a friend or neighbor. She leaves to mourn their loss, two daughters, Mrs.Bertha Brooks and Mrs Dorothy Warner and one son Donal, at home; Fred preceded her in death in 1922, and her husband last July. She also leaves a sister Mrs Anna VanHouten of Lake Orion and a brother Burt of Wisconsin. I have found the joys of Heaven I am one of the Angel band To my head a crown is given And a harp is in my hand I have learned the song they sing Whom Jesus has made free And the glorious wall fo Heaven shall ring With my new born melody.
