Dayle Lynn Bird, age 67, passed away on December 18, 2013.  She was born on 
August 28, 1946 in South Haven, MI the daughter of Vern J. and Esther (Vines) 
Dornan. 

Dayle graduated from Portland High School in 1964, and Lansing Community 
College in nursing.  She worked at Sparrow Hospital, and for Dr. Anderson and 
Dr. Brown in Portland.  She enjoyed camping and reading. 

Preceding her in death was her father, Vern; daughter, Renee.  Surviving are 
her husband, Lee Bird; son, Randy Bird of South Carolina; 6 grandchildren; 
sister, Debra (Tom) McHugh of Cadillac; nephews, Ryan and Chad McHugh; great 
nephew, Logan McHugh. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 23, 2013 at 
Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland.  Interment will take 
place at a later date in Portland Cemetery.
