The Belding Banner, Thursday, December 7, 1899

Isaac C. Birdsell was born in the State of New York June 16, 1837, and died at 
Belding Dec. 3, 1899.  Aged 62 years, 5 months and 17 days.

When he was quite young his parents moved to Indiana where his father died.  
When he was about nine years of age he moved with his mother to Kalamazoo, 
where he lived about twenty-one years.  He was united in marriage to Miss Lena 
Smith Aug. 19, 1856, and they soon moved to Fremont, Mich., where they resided 
until last June when they came to Belding.  There were born unto them six 
children, four girls and two boys.  Three of which have died and three 
daughters survive the father to mourn with the mother.

Mr. Birdsell had been a great sufferer for some years with the asthma.  A 
severe attack of bronchitis brought him suddenly to an unexpected end.  The 
family desire to thank friends for their kindly aid.
