A daughter, Vera, discovered his body in bed upon arriving home from work around 11 o’clock. He had been up that morning and had done some work but had apparently suddenly been stricken. Rev. Ray Birdsall, of the Lansing Potter Park Methodist church and a former pastor here, officiated at the last rites which were held in the Estes-Leadley Funeral home in Lansing Wednesday morning. Burial was in Portland. Surviving are the widow; four daughters, Mrs. James Terrill and Vera Bishop of Lansing, Dorothy and Gwendolyn Bishop who are students at Portland High school, one son, Paul of Lansing; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bishop of Morenci; a sister, Virga Bishop and a brother, Donald, both of Morenci.
