Hazel G. Bishop, 97, of the Belding Christian Nursing Home, died January 19, at
Sheridan Community Hospital.  She was born on March 7, 1890, in Easton Township,
the daughter of Marcellus and Sarah (Snell) Goodwin.  She was married to Noah
Bishop on Feb. 25, 1914, in Easton Township.  He died in 1970.  She lived on the
family farm in Easton Township her entire life, before moving to Belding Christian.

Bishop is survived by two daughters, Doris Connor of Saranac and Dorothy
Blumerick of Mio.  Also surviving her are 10 grandchildren, 34
great-grandchildren and 29 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 21, at 1 p.m. at the Lake
Funeral Home in Saranac.  The Rev. Kathryn Coombs will officiate.  Burial will
be in Easton Cemetery.  The family will be at Lake Funeral Home Thursday, from 7
p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
