Long Lake – Mr. and Mrs. John Spencer were called to Lakeview the 29th of
September to attend the funeral of Mrs. Amanda Bishop (nee) Evans.  Mrs. Bishop
was born in the township of Barnes, Stoben county, N.Y., and was married to E.
C. Bishop at Lyons, Mich., July 4, 1881, and died at her home in Lakeview,
September 29, 1897, aged 36 years and 9 months.  She leaves besides a husband
three daughters and a son.  Mrs. Bishop was well known here as she spent the
early part of her life near Shiloh.
