Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 30 Jun 1961

Mrs. Fred Bishop, 71, of route four, Grant street, died at 9 o’clock Friday
morning at Ionia County Memorial hospital.  She had been a patient eight days
and had been ill the past three years.  Mrs. Bishop had resided at the present
address 34 years.  She was born in Mecosta county January 27, 1890, the daughter
of Hezekiah and Cornelia Kempton Davis, and was married March 29, 1911 to Fred
Bishop.

Survivors include her husband, Fred; two sons, Melvin and DeVilo of Ionia; six
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Anne Fox of Mecosta
county.

Funeral service will be at Boynton funeral home Monday at 2 p.m. with burial at
Easton cemetery.  The Rev. John Tennyson of First Baptist church will officiate.
