Ionia Standard – Friday, 6 August 1897
Miss Edith Bishop, 19 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Bishop, died at 
her home Wednesday afternoon, July 28.  For more than a year she has been 
suffering from consumption, which at last finished its work.  The funeral took 
place at the Disciple church Friday at 2 pm.  Rev. Ainsworth preached the 
funeral sermon.  The pall bearers were Will Dilley, Douglass Furman, Benj. 
Faxon, Bernie Ely, Harvey Burgess, and Fred Evans, former schoolmates of the 
deceased.
