MOTHER TRANSPORTED HOME Mother of Mrs.Charles Lapo and Miss Reva Bishop. Funeral Largely Attended at Church Sunday. After several years of poor health Mrs.Bishop closed her eyes to the scenes of this world and entered that other world from which none return. Although mother had been a care for months, or years, there is no one quite like mother, and no other friend ever takes the place of that one who always sympathized in our trials and soothed in our sorrows. There is always a loss at the time when death takes our mothers, but it is through the years that follow that the irretrievable loss is realized. Mr.Bishop was a dear Christian mother, as loyal to her Church, as to her family. Cherry and helpful and patient, even after health was lost. The funeral was held at the Central Methodist Church Sunday afternoon. The large attendance showed the esteem in which she was held. Mrs.Bishop was the mother of Mrs.Charles A. Lapo and Miss Reva Bishop of this place. Mrs.Minnie Guy Bishop of Sunfield preceded her mother in death several years. Rev. Bulman, her pastor, preached. The music and pall bearers were of her church people. Burial was at Lake Side Cemetery beside her husband. Those from away to attend the funeral were, Verne Guy of Holland, Mr and Mrs A.M. Smith of Sebewa, Mrs.Veda Blickenstaff and daughter, Jeanette of Plymouth, Miss Opal Lapo of Mr.Clemens, all grand children, Mrs. Alvira Turner,Glen Turner and daughter,Mr and Mrs. Ora Turner and son ad Mr and Mrs Martin McDaniels, Mr and Mrs. and Mrs. Gideon Stinchcomb and Mr and Mrs Ed Stinchcomb of Alma, Mr and Mrs Dell Glazier, Mr and Mrs. Guy Glazier, Mrs. Pierce, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Best, Mr and Mrs. Clyde Stout, Mr and Mrs. Newton Stout and Louis Stout of Ionia.
