Dennis L. Bissell, age 58, of Pewamo, passed away Jan. 10, 2009 in Pewamo.  He
was born July 14, 1950 in Ionia the son of Harry and Anita (Sherman) Bissell. 
Dennis married Elizabeth Werner Dec. 2, 1978 in Ionia.  He farmed in Pewamo all
of his life taking over from family.  He enjoyed dog training and hunting and
loved going to Mackinaw City.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Elizabeth Bissell; parents
Harry and Anita Bissell of Pewamo; daughter, Jennifer Bissell of Berkley;
brother, Gary (Nancy Jo) Bissell of Grand Ledge; sisters, Penny (Joe) Peiffer of
Hubbardston, Kim (David) Bower of Portland and Lisa (Ray) Palmer of Ionia and
brothers-in-law, Bruce (Diana) Werner of Portland, Tom (Carol) Werner of Indiana
and Jim (Darlene) Werner of Portland.  He was preceded in death by his in-laws,
Fred and Virginia Werner.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia
with Pastor Marilyn Danielson officiating.  Interment East Plains Cemetery.  The
family will receive friends and relatives Monday 7-8:30 p.m., Tuesday 2-4 and
7-8:30 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.  Anyone wishing may make memorial
contributions in Dennis’s name to Family Choice.
