Lyle W. Bissell, 68, of Hayes Road, Muir, died Friday at Ionia County Memorial 
Hospital.  He was born November 27, 1919, in Lebanon Township, Clinton County, 
the son of William and Amelia Bissell.  He attended Bower school and was 
graduated from Pewamo High School in 1938.  

He was married to Betty Randall in April 1944 in Muir.  The couple lived in 
Pewamo for four years, and then moved to Muir where they have resided ever 
since.  He was a retired maintenance repairmen from TRW in Portland, retiring 
in 1981.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; one son, William Bissell of Muir; one 
daughter, Betty Jo Kemp of Muir; and seven granddaughters.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 37 F. and A.M. of Lyons.

Funeral services were Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Lyons Baptist Church, with the 
Rev. Paul Carmichael officiating.  Burial was in East Plains Cemetery.  
Visitation was Sunday at the Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir.  Memorial 
contributories may be made to the Heart Fund.
