          ANITA E. BISSELL
   Anita E. Bissell, 85, of Pewamao passed away March 2, 2016 in Portland.  She was
born Sept. 6, 1930 in Ionia, Michigan, the daughter of James and Irene (Holcomb) Sherman.  
Anita married Harry Bissell Feb 5, 1949.  He passed away July 4, 2012.
   Anita is survived by her children, Gary Bissell and Diane Witt of Dewitt, Dennis
(Elizabeth) Bissell of Pewamo, Penny (Joseph) Peiffer of Hubbardston, Kim (Dave) Bower of 
Portland and Lisa (Ray) Palmer of Ionia;  half-brother, Terry (Karen) Sherman of Florida; 
brothers, Ross (Bonnie) Sherman of Grand Ledge and Craig Sherman; 10 grandchildren; 17 great 
grandchildren; and many step grand and great grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by her parents;  husband Harry; brother, Verl Ferris; 
sisters, Virginia Evittis, Elaine Ketner, Marilyn Greenhoe and Joan Smith; and one son, Denny 
Bissell.
   Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 11 a.m. at Lake Funeral Home in
Ionia with Pastor Marilyn Danielson officiating.
   Visitation will be Friday 4-7 p.m. at funeral home.  Memorial contributions may
