Funeral services were held in that city Saturday. Prayer service will be held at the grave. Mrs. Bither was the youngest of five children of the late A.S. Crane, who came to Portland during the Civil War days and operated the stage line to Muir before the railroad came through Portland. She was born in Battle Creek. Her husband, Bert Bither, died about 38 years ago and is buried in Portland cemetery. She never remarried. Wallace D. Crane, long in the drug business in Portland, was a brother, as was George S. Crane, who died on the farm now owned by Wm. Young. Two sisters, Mrs. Cora Brokaw and Mrs. Ella Foresman, died several years ago. Mrs. Neal Tomy, of Detroit, who is also a niece, with Mr. Tomy and daughter, Miss Dorothy, and Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Smith, of Detroit, will attend the burial. Mr. and Mrs. Epler, will accompany the ashes to Portland.
