Ionia Sentinel, 18 Mar 1974

Mrs. Mabel E. Bittenbender, 84, formerly of 5481 David highway, route 1, Lyons, 
died Friday at her home in Zephyrhills, Fla.  She was a former resident of 
Orange township and Belding areas.

She was born in Jackson county March 15, 1890, the daughter of Arthur and Lois 
Winegar Gregory.  She was married to Roy Bittenbender who died in 1962.

Surviving are a son, Maurice Bittenbender of California; seven grandchildren; 
several great grandchildren; brother, Donald Gregory of route 4, Ionia.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Stone-Kauffman funeral home.  Dr. 
Lloyd Walker of LeValley United Methodist church will officiate and interment 
will be at Tuttle cemetery.  Family will be at the funeral home Monday from 7 
to 9 p.m.
