Carl A. Bivins, 67, of W. Cass Street, Greenville, died Friday morning, Dec. 4, 
1987, at his home.  Mr. Bivins was born Aug. 16, 1920, at Belding, the son of 
Fred and Margaret Staub Bivins.  He was a retired inspector for Greenville 
Products and a member of  Belding American Legion Post 203.

Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Peterman; a daughter, Mrs. Gene (Susan) Kasten, 
Holland; a son, Dow Bivins, Sand Lake; two sisters, Peggy Hayes, Comstock Park, 
Lucille Pendrick, Arkansas; two brothers, Fred Bivins and Joe Bivins, both of 
Grand Rapids; three granddaughters, Deona Kasten, Amanda Kasten, Holland, Beth 
Bivins, Grand Rapids.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Brown-Teman Funeral Home, Greenville, 
the Rev. Ken Harger officiating.  Interment will be in Sheridan Cemetery.  The 
family will receive relatives and friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday 
from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
