The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, October 21, 1927
Funeral services for Mrs. Alvina Bixby, 53, will be held Monday at 1 o’clock 
from the Wesleyan Methodist church in Clarksville.  Burial will be made in the 
Clarksville cemetery.  

Mrs. Bixby, who had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Katharine Dausman of 
Boston, had suffered for about a year from cancer of the spine.  She died 
Thursday night about 10 o’clock.  She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Katharine 
Dausman and Mrs. Lloyd Welton, of Sand Lake; three sisters, Mrs. Nathaniel 
Todd, Mrs. Snyder of Canada, and Mrs. Phrene Jepson, of Clarksville; one 
brother, Frank Breandle, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Breandle, of 
Clarksville.  There are six grandchildren.  Her husband has been dead for 
several years.
