Hasting's Reminder - Saturday May 21, 2022

                              DORIS L. BJORK

Doris L.Bjork, age 94, of Lake Odessa, MI, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

Doris was born August 28, 1927 in Woodland, to Miles and Florence (Vanlen) 
Sawdy. Doris along with her husband Vernon where lifelong area farmers. Doris 
also worked many years at Keeler brass. In her down time she loved to crochet, 
knitting, gardening, canning and was an excellent at cooking and baking, 
especially her strawberry and banana cream pies. With Vern she enjoyed 
traveling, mushrooming and fishing.

She leaves behind,; children, Dennis Bjork, Barbara Hurless and Nancy (Dave) 
Reed, grandchildren, Brenda (Yigit) Hurless-Sensaliver, Brian (Jenna) Hurless, 
Deanna (Chuck) Brown, Laura (Rick) McGeehan; 13 great-grandchildren, two step-
great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Vernon Bjork; parents, 
Miles and Florence; siblings, Lloyd, Edward,Fred Sawdy, Rosa Eddy and Irene 
Norris.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 23, 2022 from 11 a.m. until time of services 
at 1 p.m. at Koops Funeral Chapel.Burial will take place next to Vern in 
Woodland Memorial Park immediately following.
