She was born in Ohio and was about 35 years old. She was married to Mr. Black in 1878 and two children blessed their union. Her funeral service was largely attended Sunday afternoon at the congregational church, conducted by Rev. B. V. Child, who preached a touching sermon. Many beautiful flowers were on the casket and the Modern Woodmen, of which order the husband is a member, attended in a body. Mr. Black has the sympathy of a large circle of friends in his affliction.
