Black, 68, of 1180 E. David Highway, died Saturday at the United Memorial Hospital in Greenville. She was born August 14, 1919, in Philadelphia, Pa., and was married to William Black in June 1945. The couple came to Ionia where they owned and operated Black’s Midway and the Bungalo Grill. She retired in 1983. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, William; two sons, Robert and William S. Black, both of Ionia; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, at 11 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Church in Ionia. Burial will follow in Easton Cemetery. Rosary service will be held Monday at 8 p.m., at the Hull Memorial Chapel in Muir. Friends may visit all day Monday. Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society may be made in care of the funeral home.
