Bonnie Jean (Adair) Blackmer, 77, of Lake Odessa formerly of Ionia, was granted 
her angel wings on March 4, 2013. Her final days were spent at Eaton Community 
Palliative Care. 

Bonnie was born March 8, 1935 in Eureka Township the daughter of Max and 
Mildred (Krouse) Adair.

She married Richard Blackmer, aka Albert Longdyke.

Bonnie enjoyed fishing, the casino, spending t ime with her great-grandsons, 
Keagan and Kayden, and watching the hummingbirds. She was a member of the 
Sheridan VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Walter of Lake Odessa; grandson, 
Trevor (Hollie) Walter of Eaton Rapids; great-grandsons, Keaton and Kayden of 
Eaton Rapids; brothers, Alvin Adair of Greenville, Robert (Genevieve) Adair of 
Ionia, Kenneth (Esther) Adair, and Gerald (Ann) Adair of Florida; sister, Mary 
Lindsley of Ionia; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her parents; sister, Shirley; 
brothers, Raymond and Clayton; and sisters-inlaw, Bonnie, Frieda and Gayann.

Memorial Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 8 at Lake Funeral Home 
of Ionia with Pastor Nancy Patera officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 
8, 12 p.m. until time of service. Interment Danby Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Eaton Community Palliative Care.
