                                BLACKMER

Sonja Carol Blackmer age 75 of Ionia passed away peacefully June 21, 2022 
surrounded by her children.She was born August 14, 1946 in Ionia the daughter of 
Durwood and Lucille (White) Thorp. Sonja married Robert Blackmer March 9, 1963.

She is survived by her son, Tim (Maria) Blackmer of Ionia and daughter Robin 
(Raul) Alvarez of Grand Rapids daughter-in-law Denise Farrell of Lake Odessa. 
Grandchildren; Kylee (Zach) Wilson, Natalie (Ryan) Urie, Mason Blackmer, 
Nicholas (Jordan) Blackmer, Rachael Blackmer (Kristen Nelson), Lily Alvarez and 
Emma Alvarez (Fiance' Spencer Russo). Great grandchildren; Mavrik, Malori and 
Maxwell Wilson, Clayton, Leland, Hattie and Etta Urie. She was preceded in death 
by her parents, husband Robert, son Mark and sister Kay.

Cremation and a private Celebration of Life has taken place.Those wishing may 
make Memorial Home in Ionia. Online condolences may be made at
