Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 21 May 1942

Mary Jane Blackmore died Thursday morning at the Ionia Community hospital about
11:30 o’clock after an illness of 10 weeks.  She was born in Easton township,
the daughter of George and Mary Kipp.  She was married to Henry G. Blackmore,
who preceded her in death, April 10, 1935.  She had spent 40 years and Ionia,
and in recent years had lived at 422 West Washington street.

She is survived by one daughter, Miss Georgia Kay Blackmore, also of Ionia.  She
was a member of the Royal Neighbors, Women’s Relief Corps, and the Rebekahs.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, May 24, at 2:00 p.m. from the Myers funeral
home.  Rev. A.R. Kuehn will officiate, and burial will be in the family lot in
Oak Hill cemetery.
