Georgia K. Blackmore, 84, of Ionia died Tuesday in Kent Community Hospital,
Grand Rapids.  Born Nov. 27, 1898, in Ionia, she was the daughter of Henry and
Mary Kipp Blackmore.  She attended Ionia Public Schools.  She was employed by
Herpolsheimer’s in Grand Rapids and in an Ionia factory during World War II.

She was an active member of Ionia First United Methodist Church and of Mrs.
Hawley’s and Mrs. Morrall’s Sunday School classes, and of the Ionia chapter of
Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, Mrs. Mary Blackmer of Greenville, Mrs.
Elizabeth Chapman of Sheridan, Michael Blackmer of Lansing and Mrs. Kathy Smith
of Interlochen.

Private family services were held at 8 p.m. Wednesday from the Leddick Funeral
Home with the Rev. Carl Hausermann of Ionia First United Methodist Church
officiating.  Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Ionia.
