Ionia Weekly Standard - Friday, July 21, 1905
John Blake, aged 82 years, died at the Place home, on Sunday, of old age. He 
came here from north part of state 14 or 15 years ago, to attend the funeral of 
his sister, W.D. Place's mother, and remained here from that time. Funeral at 
this Place residence, Prairie Creek, Tuesday afternoon, at 1:30. Interment 
Highland Park.
