The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, July 8, 1929

Nicholas Blasen, 83, died at Community hospital Sunday evening.  Funeral 
services will be held at the Bradley funeral home Wednesday at 8 o’clock and 
at 9 o’clock at SS. Peter and Paul’s church.  Interment will be in Mt. Olivet 
by the side of his wife.

Mr. Blasen had been a resident of Easton for many years and at one time 
resided in this city on Dye street.  He is survived by eight children: Mrs. 
Fred Jackson and Otto Blasen, Ionia; Fred Blasen, Easton; Mrs. Julia Tisch, 
William Blasen, and Miss Bertha Blasen, Grand Rapids; Mrs. Lucy Cole, Marne, 
and Lewis Blasen, of Saranac.
