Lakewood News, May 2009

Flossie B. Blocher, age 86, of Clarksville, and formerly of the Lowell area,
passed away late Friday evening, May 15, 2009.  Flossie was born in Williamston,
on May 5, 1923 to George and Mildred (Mulholland) Tobias, and graduated from
Lowell High School in 1941.  She was united in marriage to Leo Blocher on June
7, 1944.

Flossie had worked as a hairdresser, and for 40 years had owned and operated a
hunting and fishing resort in Chapleau, Ontario with her husband.

Flossie is survived by her sons, Wayne Blocher and Greg Blocher; four
grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her
parents; Leo, her loving husband of 64 years; daughter-in-law, Lois Blocher; and
all of her brothers and sisters.

The funeral service was held at the Koops Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, May 20. 
Burial was in Merriman Cemetery.  The family has suggested that memorial
contributions may be made to The National Kidney Foundation.
