Belding Banner – Wednesday, 28 April 1920
Miss Frances Mason, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Mason was born in 1865 in 
Smyrna, Mich., and was married to Harrison Blodgett at the age of 19 years and 
to this union six children were born; Harry, Emma, Cora, Carrie, Izona and Eva 
of which five are left to mourn the loss of a kind and true mother who filled 
the place of mother and father both to them, having lost her husband 21 years 
ago.  She was left with a small baby to shoulder her sorrow and make a home 
for her little ones which she faithfully did, never stopping to consider 
herself only to raise her family.  Now that her mission is fulfilled she 
passed to the great beyond April 24, 1920 at the home of her daughter,  Mrs. 
Emma Kohn Rockford, Mich., where she went five weeks ago to make a visit and 
where she was a patient sufferer to the end.
