Lake Odessa Wave - Friday April 28, 1899

Mrs. Charles Bloom passed away this life in its spring time, at her home in 
Grand Rapids, on Tuesday evening April 25, 1899, from the effects of septicemia. 
The remains were brought to this village on the Wednesday evening train, and 
taken to the home of her uncle, H.F.Miner, who has also been as a father to her 
since early girlhood.

The remains were viewed by her many friends and acquaintances at the Miner 
House.She was married to Chas. Bloom May 12, 1897, in her nineteenth year. Five 
weeks ago she gave birth to a daughter and was thought to be getting along 
nicely when she had a relapse from which she failed to recover. Funeral services 
will be held fro the Congregational church today at 2 p.m.

                                 OBITUARY
Miss Clara Vibber was born July 4, 1877 was married to Charles G.Bloom May 13th, 
1897; went to Grand Rapids where she resided until her death. The remains were 
brought to Lake Odessa to the home of her Uncle, H.F.Miner, where they were 
viewed by her many friends and relatives. The funeral was held on Friday 
afternoon, April 28th, and the remains interred in Lakeside cemetery.

One week after the death of it's mother, the baby died, and its little remains 
were also brought here and placed beside those of its. mother, on Wednesday, May 
3.

Mrs. Bloom was a member of the Congregational church of this village joining the 
church in its infancy, and while here attended the Christian Endeavorer meetings 
and Sunday school faithfully.
