Bloomer, 85, died Friday evening at the IOOF home in Jackson. Born June 10, 1881, in Camden he was the son of Theodore S. and Charlotte Huggett Bloomer. He was a life member of IOOF lodge and member of Fred hall encampment and Fred hall Lea. On October 25, 1905 he married Mable Norton in Ionia and she preceded him in death on August 14, 1959. A son, John Norton Bloomer also preceded him in death. After his marriage they lived in Grand Rapids and Holland where Mr. Bloomer was employed by Sleigh Furniture Company. In 1915 they returned to Ionia to make their home and Mr. Bloomer was employed several years at Ypsilanti-Reed furniture company. He also managed Norton Drayline several years retiring in 1950. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Sara Jane Carpenter and Mrs. Harry Carroll of Ionia, Mrs. Murray Hawley of Portage,Wis., Mrs. William Binder of Chicago, Ill. and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at Myers Funeral Home Tuesday at 1 pm. IOOF lodge number 341 of Palo will be in charge with burial in Balcom Cemetery.
