The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, October, 1948
Funeral services for Miss Ella Bloomer, 73, former Ionia school teacher who 
died at her home on East Lytle street Friday evening, were held from the Myers 
funeral home Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Dr. J. Lee Lewis, pastor of the 
First Baptist church, officiated with interment in the family lot of Highland 
Park cemetery.

The Ella Hutchins circles of the First Baptist church of which she was a 
member attended the services in a group.

Her bearers were George White, Herman Hoerner, Glenn Thorpe, Hiram Darling, 
Stanley Powell and E. W. Krainbrink.

Those attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Al Bloomer and 
Mr. and Mrs. William Bloomer of Flint; Miss Ellen Haist, Miss Eleanor McGeary 
and Miss Ruth Grieves of Bay City; Mrs. Lena Wilcox of Grand Rapids and Mr. 
and Mrs. George Seeley, Ben Seeley and Mrs. Zena Malcolm of Camden.
