Portland Observer, 6 Aug 1931

Former Portland Man Dies in West

Alonzo Blough, formerly of Portland, died recently in Prescott, Ariz.  His death 
message was the first anyone in this vicinity had heard about him in 16 years.  
The telegram conveying the message was sent to a sister, Mrs. Willard Murphy, who 
died 11 years ago.  Instructions were telegraphed to have the body sent to Grand 
Ledge for burial in the North Eagle cemetery.
