The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, April 06, 2004
Gladys M. (Ries) (Ritenburgh) Blough, age 87, of Lowell, peacefully joined the 
Lord April 3, 2004.  She was born May 29, 1916 in Ionia, the daughter of Frank 
A. And Flora B. (Young) Ritenburgh.  She married Glenn Ries in 1937; he 
preceded her in death in 1943. She was also preceded in death by her daughter 
Verity Ries in 2001. She will be missed and loved by her family.

She is survived by the father of her children, Fred Blough of Grand Rapids. 
Daughters Diane Sue Blough and Richard Bast of Wyoming, Jennie Lou and Mark 
Anderton of Chiloquin, Oregon. Brothers Kenneth and Dorothy Ritenburgh of 
Leesburg, Fla. Sister Hazel Lumley of Bear Lake. Grandchildren Diana Lynn 
Blough of Muskegon, Kenneth Anderton, Kelly Jean Anderton, Reid Anderton, 
Elliot Anderton, Gus Anderton, Vincent Anderton, all of Chiloquin, Oregon, and 
many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services for Mrs. Blough will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Lake 
Funeral Home in Ionia with Rev. Joseph Fremer officiating. Interment at Balcom 
Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from noon to the time of funeral 
services.
