Mr. Blough was born in Sumerset county, Pennsylvania, February 14, 1849; at an early age he emigrated with his father’s family to La Grange county, Indiana. He was married in 1860 to Sarah Taylor (who survives him). In 1862 he enlisted in the 88th regiment Indiana volunteers, and served with that regiment nearly three years. He was wounded in battle near Tunnel Hill, Georgia, from the effects of which he never fully recovered. He removed with his family in 1875 to Ionia county, and engaged in farming. Mr. Blough was an honorable man, made his business a success, and was very highly respected. The family have the sympathy of a great many friends in their affliction.
