Louis J. Blough, age 86, of Lowell, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2004, in 
Georgia.  He was born March 11, 1918 in Keene Twp, the son of Frank and Melvina 
(Evans) Blough.  He married Mollie Fitzsimmon on Nov. 21, 1938 in Ontario, 
Canada.  He established Bloughs Polishing and Buffing in 1962.  He also farmed 
in Ionia County for many years and was a member of St. Anthony’s Church in 
Saranac.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 65 years Mollie Blough of Lowell; 
children, Carmine Borden of Saranac, Roger Blough of Georgia, Arthur and 
Veronica Blough of Lowell, Joan and Dennis Sisson of Grand Rapids, Ruth Anne 
and Roger Rowley of Ionia, Phyllis and Jerry Huver of Saranac, Angela and Scott 
Slaght of Freeport, Martha and Rob Fuhst of Muskegon; brothers, Fred Blough of 
Saranac, Andy Blough of Tennessee, 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony’s Church in Saranac 
with Father Tom Heck celebrant.  The family will receive friends and relatives 
from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday.  Arrangements by Lake Funeral 
Home of Saranac.  You may make memorial contributions to St. Anthony’s building 
fund.
