At the age of eight years she moved with her parents to Lapeer, where she spent her childhood days. She was united in marriage to Harmon Blow November 14, 1868; they then moved to Lyons, where most of their married life was spent. To this union were born eleven children, two dying in infancy. In the year 1881, when diphtheria was raging in Lyons, the Master called their four living children to dwell with Him, all being called in one week, and they being left childless. Then five more came to bless their home, who survive her now: Elmer and Mrs. Hazel Billick/Hillick? of Muir, Adelbert of Ronald and Mrs. Dan Stoudt of North Plains; another daughter, Edna, who is in the West, was not able to be here. In her younger life she gave her heart to God, uniting with the Methodist church at Lyons, which she has lived faithful to until the end. Mrs. Blow was a loving wife and mother, always bearing her burdens and trying to make others comfortable and happy. The past three years she had been a semi-invalid, waiting patiently for the Master to call her home to dwell with Him, where there will be no sorrow or pain. She leaves to mourn her loss five children, nine grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Adelaide Blow of Ionia, two brothers, Harvey and Wesley Mills of California, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the M.E. church, conducted by Rev. Chas. Nease, and interment made in the family lot in the Lyons cemetery.
